In-Home Service
We will quote a minimum tip charge that includes a 1/2 hour labor as the base price. This price varies by distance from our store. Additional time and parts are extra.
This price varies by distance from our store. Call for a quote today! In-home we inspect the television and determine the cause of the problem, if minor we will fix on the spot. If a more in-depth repair is needed,
an estimate will be prepared. If the customer accepts the estimate, we will proceed with the repairs. If parts need to be ordered a non-refundable deposit would be collected. If for any reason the repairs were not able to be completed
(such as additional problems, customer changes mind, etc...) then the deposit would be forfeited to cover restocking, shipping fees, and our time to that point.
Free Repair Estimates
You need to bring the TV in to our shop for this service. In most cases and estimate will be prepared in a couple working hours. At this point you can decide to accept or decline the estimate. Some repairs will require a non-refundable
deposit that will be credited towards repair upon completion. If declined the unit must be picked up in a timely manner or a recycle fee will be charged for disposal.
Some models may require a reycle deposit upon drop off this is drop off this is due to the amount of items being abandoned.
Flat Rate Repairs
Other items like VCRs, DVDs, steros, faxes, microwaves, camcorders, etc... are repaired on a flat rate labor basis plus parts. When the unit is dropped off, we will quote you the labor rate plus the average parts cost of the type of item and collect a minimum
non-refundable deposit that will be credited towards the repair. If for any reason the repairs cannot be completed (such as parts cost, parts inavailability, etc...), the item will be returned and the deposit will be forfeited to cover base costs.
Recycling
We offer a Recycling service for your electronic items. There are fees associated with this service please see our Recycle rates page. All our recycle items are sorted to determine if they are feasible to re-introduce into the used market, the rest are taken
to a certified dismantler in Seatle to be broken down into base components such as plastics, metals, glass, etc. at which point they are sold to be reused in the manufacturing process of new products. This method keeps the heavy metals and other harmful products out of our landfills.
Your investment in this process now helps us all in the future.
Warranty Repairs
We service many brands under warranty and extended warranties. Due to the cost restrictions we are placed under, some items have a limited service area and may require and additional travel fee not always covered by the unit's warranty. We will advise the customer
of this prior to repair. Some types of units will only be repaired on a crry-in basis while under warranty due to cost restructions placed on us by the manufacturers and extended warranty companies. Ask for details.
New Electronic Technologies
Have brought not only a great picture and more features to your TV but it has also produced new servicing issues that are now being addressed in the service industry. The new TVs come with shorter life spans, consumable parts, more costly repairs, and more hidden
problems caused from cascading failures. These issues have caused us to change some of our servicing methods.
Consumable parts
Such as lamps are costly and vary by model and brand making it too costly to stock many and usually are special orders
Costly repairs
Module level repairs are now the norm for most of the new sets causing a rise in repair bills
Hidden problems
We are running into more sets with multiple problems caused from one part going bad causing another part to go bad (cascading) sometimes the first problem cannot be diagnosed until the secondary problem is repaired bringing on the need for non-refundable deposits to cover these costs
Old School TVs
Are still repairable and have a reliable life span. They are more economical to use and are less costly to repair. The sets will continue to work in the future with the addition of a converter box (like cable box). Your VCR and DVD players will continue to work as usual
Our Technicians are factory trained and continually updated on the most
current products. We have been serving the Tacoma and surrounding areas
